Is it true that everything is frozen during an organizing drive

Is it true that everything is frozen during an organizing drive. If we win our organizing drive with your help is everything still frozen until we vote on and get a first contract?

Teamsters Response:

The answer is yes....and that includes your working conditions. The term "frozen" can be misleading as the company cannot hold back on regularly scheduled raises also during an organizing drive.

That law virtually guarantees strong improvements in a collective agreement. That law also helps the collective bargaining process so you don’t negotiate backwards. Not to mention that the company knows that you will vote on any contract offer.

The Labour Code keeps everyone honest through the whole process.

Myth #4: FedEx management say’s it will close any unionized terminal

It is against the law to say that or any threat.  FedEx hasn’t closed its unionized European operations nor have they eliminated their unionized pilots.  So why would they shut you down?  The answer is simple: “it’s only a scare tactic”.
