We pay for uniforms and other items from FedEx. What is it like for a Purolator Contractor? I would like to join but my manager says we can't organize.

At Purolator the owner/operators do not pay for uniforms or anything else from the company.

Purolator owner/operators also receive the same health and welfare benefits that the hourly workforce gets.

They also receive

  1. A fuel clause/cap of 61.8 litres
  2. Daily guarantee
  3. In some provinces their WCB coverage is paid by the company

And yes you can organize under the Labour Code
