harrassment /Favoritism
For the past decade at fedex I have been harassed,disrespected and belittled by Management. We couriers have no voice and if we try to speak up about something or just simply ask to be treated fairly,Management puts you in a blacklist and then they treat you even worse. There is also a lot of favoritism that goes on in this company,which gets very frustrating after awhile,but complaining about wont to much. How will being part of the Teamsters put and end to this demoralizing way we are treated by management?
Teamsters Response:
The Teamsters will not tolerate any of those things. In a unionized environment you have the right to a shop steward during any conversation that takes on a tone that you have described. You also have the right to file a complaint with your human resources department and if human resources doesn’t deal with your situation you have the right to file a grievance. In most cases the manager is forced to apologize and agree to a cease and desist agreement with harsh penalties if the agreement is violated.
And yes favortism will be replaced by a collective agreement.

...Every aspect of your working life is covered, including safety, wages, benefits, pensions, seniority, schedules, dispute resolution, life insurance, clothing allowance and dozens of other issues. And before the company can change one thing, you have to agree to it.
