FedEx management has town hall meetings across Canada!
It has been reported that town hall meetings took place at most FedEx stations across Canada this week including one with David Binks in Calgary. FedEx management started the meetings by stating that these question and answer sessions have nothing to do with the Teamsters but will answer any questions if the topic comes up. The universal message was that the company might look at giving some of the pension back in March 2010 and the company might look into reducing deductions on their employee’s weekly pay.
Teamsters Canada would like to thank FedEx for looking into the issues that started this organizing campaign by showing the workers the benefits of unionizing before their employees join the Teamsters.
Remember a promise is not a contract, and without a contract companies can give and take without the workers having a say!
Get it in writing and make the promises a reality!!!
