FedEx Ground managers going wild

I feel it is so crazy. The managers are trying really hard to scare us and make the teamsters look bad and say you are harassing and intimidating us. They have given us letters. I hope you guys help us now and when we are organized. The managers are going over the top!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Teamsters Response:

The Teamsters Union is committed to treating everyone with dignity and respect, maintaining open lines of communication, and ensuring that all employees and contractors get their fair share from this very profitable company. The Teamsters Union commits to provide a safe, positive and harassment free work place for all employees whether they are pro-union or anti-union. The Teamsters Union understands the laws regarding unionization and we consistently have complied with these laws. That said, a number of Union supporters in the FedEx Ground facility have complained that certain managers are disrupting their work environments by unduly pressuring and harassing pro-union employees. This has resulted in some employees feeling intimidated and uncomfortable at work. To address this concern, we have filed legal charges against FedEx Ground to reinforce our position that everyone has a right to a work place free from harassment both during and after the organizing drive.

It is a common tactic for companies to make false allegations to mislead employees into thinking that the Teamsters has done something wrong. This may not be the last time that FedEx Ground uses this tactic to sway you from unionizing.

Ask yourself why FedEx Ground would write such a letter. Could it be they don’t want you to have better pay, benefits, pension, and working conditions?

As always, all union representatives are available if you have any questions or concerns and are accessible by visiting your campaign website at www.FedExWorkers.org
