orginizing a union in fedex ground

I presently work for FedEx Ground in Colorado and have been treated bad for to long. Me and all of my fellow co-workers feel that this job is a dead end and that it shouldn't be. We make hardly any money and there is never any raises in fact they top out at $13.50 an hour. When I voiced my concern to management they told me I could just go work at McDoanalds or Walmart; then they told me that this job was intended to burn and turn college employees. But the times have changed and everyone needs there jobs to raise there families, pay bills, and well just live. The FedEx management team then proceeds to say they have no money, when almost all of us heard that they assisted in paying Tiger Woods 21.5 million dollars for becoming the FedEx tour champion and as they run a Nascar every weekend that's just another 1.8 million dollars a week. They do all of this and yet they can't pay us enough to support or selfs let alone our families. Basicaly we deserve better treatment and better wages, myself and all of my co-workers agree and are ready to form to a union to get what we deserve. We are all willing to do what ever it takes to organize, so can someone please help us accomplish this.

Teamsters Canada Response:

Thanks for your email. I will have someone from Colorado get in touch with you.

Myth #2: The union will make you go on strike

The truth is... Strikes are a rare last resort in contract negotiations – more than 95% of Teamster contracts are negotiated without a strike.  A strike will only happen when a majority of workers vote to call one. Read more >
