Employee get written up at FedEx
An employee at FedEx ground mississauga terminal was written up by management for not saying hello. Are you kidding me? We don't have the charter of rights for nothing you know! I wonder if workers at Ups and Purolator are treated like this from their management team? Last I checked...it wasn't in the FedEx policy that you have to say hello to your manager...just another case of FedEx making up their own rules as they go along. This just reinforces the fact that we need Teamsters...NOW!
Teamsters Canada Response:
In a unionized environment you would have the ability to file a grievance over any unfair or in this case ridiculous discipline.

Info on union busting
While the right to join and form trade unions is recognized in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR),[1] union busting actions subvert the organization and continuation of unions by sowing discord amongst union members, challenging unions via law courts, strike breaking, lockouts, violent suppression, the sponsorship of anti-union organizations, or the creation of employer-controlled trade unions.
