running around
This guy running around at my location at FedEx Ground in Toronto has now released a letter to the staff telling us to ask for our cards back. If you were to read this letter you would see that management is behind it. Why would I make such a statement. (1) This person is talking to people on company time asking them to pull there card. (2)This same person has been handing out this anti -union letter on company time. (3) He spends alot of time with management. (4) He has made it clear to most of us that he would like to become a supervisor. (5) Now draw your on conclusions.
Teamsters Canada Response:
If these things are happening I can tell you what he is doing is totally illegal. I have read the letter and can tell you that I have seen letters like this in every organizing campaign that I have been involved with.

The law protects you
The Canada Labour Code makes it crystal clear that you are protected from intimidation or worse from your employer as you consider joining a union. Here's what it has to say.
No employer or person acting on behalf of an employer shall:
(a) refuse to employ or to continue to employ or suspend, transfer, lay off or otherwise discriminate against any person with respect to employment, pay or any other term or condition of employment or intimidate, threaten or otherwise discipline any person, because the person
(i) is or proposes to become, or seeks to induce any other person to become, a member, officer or representative of a trade union or participates in the promotion, formation or administration of a trade union.
