Regional pay rates

Is it true that all UPS and Purolator workers receive the same pay no matter what part of the country they work in? All employees at FedEx know we have regional pay maximums so a person in a rural area is paid less than someone in a metropolitan area.I believe this can be as much as 15% less than the posted maximums that Fedex claims to pay.

Teamsters Canada Response:

Yes, you're close with your statement. Purolator rates differ slightly province to province but all employees still receive the same % raise each year.

UPS rates are identical coast to coast and the employees receive the same raise every 6 months

Myth #4: FedEx management say’s it will close any unionized terminal

It is against the law to say that or any threat.  FedEx hasn’t closed its unionized European operations nor have they eliminated their unionized pilots.  So why would they shut you down?  The answer is simple: “it’s only a scare tactic”.
