Thanks to Teamsters.
I would like to thank Teamsters for bringing change to my station. Before Teamsters arrived on the scene the companies portion of our pension was taken away ..., we were stuck in Casual, Part time, Time share positions and the fulltime driver positions were always being offered to drivers outside of our station. Since Teamsters arrive at our front door the company has brought back their share of our pension benefits, offered Casual drivers Parttime driver jobs, Parttime drivers Fulltime driver jobs, promoted the Time share drivers Fulltime driver jobs and even created more Senior courier positions. Also for the first time in many years the company posted a couple of internal courier Fulltime routes, plus for the first time that I can recall in my 20 year career the company paided out a 1% bonus for us exceding our financial plan. Just wanted to again say thanks to Teamsters for making it all happen. I hope that all my brothers and sisters at FedEx will make a smart choice in choosing Teamsters in the future to represent them and to fix the problems (like pension) that there is at FedEx.

The law protects you
The Canada Labour Code makes it crystal clear that you are protected from intimidation or worse from your employer as you consider joining a union. Here's what it has to say.
No employer or person acting on behalf of an employer shall:
(a) refuse to employ or to continue to employ or suspend, transfer, lay off or otherwise discriminate against any person with respect to employment, pay or any other term or condition of employment or intimidate, threaten or otherwise discipline any person, because the person
(i) is or proposes to become, or seeks to induce any other person to become, a member, officer or representative of a trade union or participates in the promotion, formation or administration of a trade union.
